Walking Tours of Oxford
The best way to explore Oxford is by foot and we believe we offer the finest walking tour of Oxford. This beautiful city has many hidden treasures that cars and buses simply can’t get to. Join our fun and informative tour of Oxford to see all the sites many visitors simply just don’t find.
We strongly recommend that we are your first stop on a visit to Oxford, as we will show you many sites you will want to return to during your visit: Colleges, viewpoints , filming locations, museums and more. We will even point out the good places to eat & drink, and as we have absolutely no affiliations you’ll know we are simply giving you our honest opinion.
But don’t take our word for it, we would say we were great.
Attended this tour with two friends. The booking process was simple and easy through their website and we found the meeting point easily. We found the tour a great blend of historical facts and locations, movie and TV sites, and famous landmarks. Our guide was clearly spoken, easy to understand and friendly. She delivered the whole tour with a good sense of humour and the two hours flew by.
I can’t recommend this highly enough. Do this first when you get to Oxford as it informs you of so much more you will want to do
I did this walking tour as part of a big group of international university students and Lisa said we were the biggest group she had ever given a tour to. There were a lot of us however this did this not matter at all as Lisa was so engaging and she told us really interesting facts and stories and very clearly which was really good for some of the students whose English wasn’t perfect. We all thoroughly enjoyed the tour and would 100% recommend!
If you think that a two-hour walking tour is long, you are wrong here. With Lisa, who is so full of energy and enthusiasm, time simply flies. The tour is very informative and we loved all the little stories she told us, the details she showed us. At the end of the tour you want to come back to learn and hear more.
The Oxford Walking Tour was the best walking tour I have ever been on – Lisa’s engagement with the locals was amazing and the level of knowledge fantastic. It was a very enjoyable 3 hours which I would highly recommend – the best happenstance I had on my trip.
Spent an informative & fun 2 hours with Lisa. She has a great passion for Oxford & this comes across in her tour. She was knowledgeable & interesting & gave us lots of tips to carry on exploring the city on our own. This tour is a great start to your time in Oxford & makes it easy to find your way around. Thank Lisa!
Amazing tour! Lisa was our guide and the tour was awesome- very informative and interesting, both regarding the history and modern life of Oxford. Facts and stories that I still remember! The tour is free- you tip as you please, but she deserves a generous tip as she, and the tour, are well worth it!
Lisa was an excellent guide. One member of the group has a hearing difficulty but was able to hear every word. Her talk was informative and entertaining and I would recommend her tour as the first thing you do when you arrive, to help you decide where you want to visit.
When visiting Oxford, do not miss this tour. Originally, I had planned just wander around Oxford by myself, scoping out all the Harry Potter locations. I bumped into Lisa by the Bridge of Sighs, and mentioned that I had missed signing up for the tour. She was so welcoming, accommodating, and offered for me to join the tour right then and there. I am so glad that I did. I saw so many places of the university that I would not have seen on my own. Her enthusiasm is infectious. I had such a great time.
I own a tour company in Salem Massachusetts, and this tour guide was top notch. I was so impressed with the depth of her knowledge about the city. If you’re visiting Oxford, do not miss this tour!!
Went on the free walking tour last weekend and it was absolutely fantastic! Loved that Lisa adapted the tour when she saw that there was a graduation ceremony and we had the opportunity to see the students in their gowns, which is not usually possible. She was so genuinely happy and excited to show us her around and she had great stories to tell about life in Oxford! Also really enjoyed hearing about the history of the city and the university as well as what would be worth visiting later on. My friend and I did the tour in the morning and it gave us a wonderful overview of what we can do in the afternoon! Thank you Lisa for the great time I would come on your tour again in a heartbeat.
